Theresa Eisenbarth, an artist from Medicine Hat, Alberta, draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Canada’s prairies, transforming everyday scenes into vibrant acrylic artworks. Her impressionistic style captures the essence of small-town life.
After studying in Rome through the Rotary International Exchange program and earning her B.F.A. fine arts degree from the University of Calgary, she continues to refine her craft by studying with master artists and teaching workshops.
Theresa’s art aims to evoke the feelings of home and often incorporates actual keys, adding a personal connection and depth to her pieces. Her use of layering paint with opaques and transparent passages of colour helps to reimagine the older towns and scenic landscapes of Southern Alberta, giving her artwork a gentle, luminous quality.
